Chepstow bookshop is proud to present a series of author events at the town’s Drill Hall this November.
The first event features Mavis Nicholson who will talk about her latest book ‘Martha Jane and Me’.
The evening promises a rare opportunity to join the acclaimed writer and broadcaster for an enchanting and unforgettable portrait of the community and her childhood in South Wales in the ’30s and ’40s. The talk takes place on Thursday, 6th November from 7.15 pm. Tickets are £2 each.
Following this, on Thursday, November 13, there will be a fabulous evening with the one and only Alan Titchmarsh. Alan will read from his new book ‘Folly’, answer questions and sign copies of his best-selling books. Tickets are expected to sell out, so purchase now to avoid disappointment. Tickets for the talk will be £3 each.
A perfect evening for everyone interested in wildlife is billed for Wednesday, 26th November. Lifelong hedgehog obsessive, a great talker and this year’s quirkiest author, Hugh Warwick, will explore what hedgehogs actually do and what they tell us about our need for wildlife. The event begins at 7.15 and tickets are £2 each. All tickets are available now from The Chepstow Bookshop and are redeemable against the price of the book being discussed either on the night or before the event.
There will be an opportunity to get your book signed by the author at each event. Doors will open half an hour before the talk starts with the licensed bar serving a selection of drinks. Drop by the shop, email us or visit their website www.chepstowbooks.co.uk for more details or tickets. If you are unable to attend any event but would still like a signed copy please contact the shop to reserve one.
