Monmouthshire’s Assembly Member Nick Ramsay performed the opening ceremony for a new gazebo at Usk Castle. He cut the ribbon alo ngside supporters and members of Usk Castle Friends, who had paid for the gazebo, which has been specially commissioned to fit in w ith its ancient surroundings.
Mr. Ramsay said, ‘The gazebo is a great focal point for the castle and a valuable shelter when it rains - it will be particularly useful if we have any more summers like this one! The picturesque castle with its enchanting gardens make it a fantastic local tourist attraction; the new gazebo only adds to its charm.’
