FASHION Rocks Wales is returning again to Newport today.

The bi-annual event, which last took place in March, will this time feature designs from students and high street stores across Newport and Gwent.

12 exhibitors in total will display clothes and accessories throughout the day. As well as fashion shows at 1pm, 3pm and 6pm.

Designs by fashion design students at the University of Wales, Newport will form a major part of the event.

Katie Zelko, 20, is a third year fashion design student at the University.

As well as modelling for the show, some of her designs from her second year at university will be on display.

"It's another opportunity for us to show our work," said Ms Zelko.

Kirsty Parsons, 20, is a second year in the same course.

She has been helping choreograph the models at this and previous Fashion Rocks Wales shows.

"You usually see models walking up and down, but we have been bringing acting to the stage.

"We we will doing this again this time."

Coleg Gwent's theatrical make up and hairdressing students will demonstrating their work on all of the models at the show.

The event, organised by community charity Urban Circle, will be held today at the Newport Centre from 11am to 7pm.

Tickets are available on the door and cost £12.
