FUNDRAISING film fans will be shaken and stirred as they attend the red carpet premiere of new Bond film Quantum of Solace in aid of the Argus-backed Sparkle Appeal.
The charity has exclusive Gwent rights to show the film the night before it's official release, with ticket profits going towards the multi-million pound South Gwent Children's Centre.
The day centre will provide care facilities including hydrotherapy pool, sensory garden, exercise facilities and cinema for 1,200 disabled children in Newport, Torfaen and south Monmouthshire.
Star names lending their backing to the event include Dragons players Ashley Smith and Richard Parks with the charity hoping Olympic 200 metre finalist, Christian Malcolm will also come on board.
Also attending the screening at Newport's Cineworld will be one of the stars of the film, the Aston Martin, provided by Cardiff dealers Stratstone.
Dragons back row Parks says he can't wait to get his tuxedo on for next week's screening.
"I've done a lot of work in the past to support national charities but this is a local organisation that will care for disabled children in Gwent.
"As a regional player I think it is really important to support charities within that region."
The four-capped Wales international, currently recovering from a shoulder injury, said there was another reason he was looking forward to the evening.
"One of the massive perks of the night is getting to watch the film itself.
"Like a lot of men, I'm a massive Bond fan and to get to see it before it's released is great."
VIP guests are expected to arrive in black tie and formal evening dress and will be served Martinis to the music of a live jazz band. Dragons' dance troupe Dance Katz will also strut their stuff.
Sparkle fundraising manager Helen Lloyd said there were still tickets available for members of the public.
"We want to make this a special night not just for Bond fans but for all involved in our appeal."
VIP Tickets costing £20 and standard tickets costing £12 are available by calling, 01633 656212 To win a pair of tickets to the screening, just answer the following question: who is providing the Aston Martin for the event at Cineworld on Thursday?
