A 27-YEAR-OLD Abertillery man faces custody after being found in possession of six different controlled drugs.
Craig Assirati, of Richmond Road, Six Bells, pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine and 56 ecstasy tablets with intent to supply.
He denied possessing cannabis, testosterone and DF118 with intent to supply. No evidence was offered against him and not guilty verdicts were recorded but he admitted possessing those three.
He also denied possessing 131 Diazapam with intent and it was directed that charge lay on the file. He pleaded guilty to possessing the drug.
Prosecutor Peter Harding-Roberts told Cardiff crown court Assirati was arrested in May in a separate case, suspected of possessing drugs with intent to supply.
He said: "Not a huge amount of progress has been made in the case which should have been expedited. These matters are grinding away."
Assirati's counsel, Andrew Morse, said: "When arrested he had a significant drugs habit. He knows that the likelihood is that he is going to prison."
Sentence was adjourned for reports and Assirati was released on bail with conditions that he observe an 8pm to 8am curfew and report five days a week to Abertillery police station.
