Skoda has just made its family friendly MPV even better by adding a whole host of goodies to the Roomster 2, completely free of charge. With value for money, low running costs and high fuel efficiency topping the wish list of more and more car buyers, families opting for the Roomster 2 are now getting £1,500 worth of additional equipment in a fun and economical car.

The Family Pack is designed to offer even more comfort to a family on the move thanks to features such as panoramic sunroof, acoustic rear parking sensors, metallic paint, sunset glass and electric rear windows. “Our revolutionary MPV gives families everything they need from a car – practicality, value and style. The Roomster 2 is a popular family choice which is why we are offering the ‘Family Pack’ on this trim,” says Warren Richards, Product Marketing Manager at Skoda.

The Roomster 2, priced from just £11,630 OTR, is already extremely well equipped with 15 " ‘Avior’ alloy wheels, air conditioning, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, electric front windows, remote central locking, curtain airbags and a trip computer all included as standard.

Skoda’s clever MPV features bundles of space, impressive fuel economy and great visibility for passengers thanks to raised rear seats enabling small children to see out of oversized rear windows. Split into a driving room in the front and a spacious and airy living room in the rear, the Roomster is a fun car for drivers and passengers alike.

The vehicle’s efficient fuel consumption results in lower day-to-day running costs and reduced environmental impact. The 1.4TDI 80bhp engine can achieve up to 62.8mpg and emit just 135g/km of CO2, providing a cheaper, cleaner drive. To book a test drive or find out more about the Roomster please visit www.skoda.co.uk or contact your local Skoda retailer.

In the back is where the clever stuff happens. The rear doors are far taller than those at the front – unusual, certainly, but effective when it comes to getting in and out. The rear seats are higher than those in the front, so once installed the view out is excellent, which might help keep little ones quiet for longer. Those rear seats can perform a number of tricks too. The middle seat can be folded forward to create a table, drinks holder or just somewhere to hide things, and be removed altogether.

The outer two can slide sideways to fill this space, as well as move forwards by 15cm and recline and be taken out too, which gives the Roomster anything from 450 litres to a massive 1,780 litres of storage space. There’s plenty of storage elsewhere too, plus clever touches like a parcel shelf that stows on two levels.

Skoda’s 1.6-litre 16-valve Tiptronic engine is now available in base Roomster 1, Fabia 1 and Fabia Estate 1 models. Usually the preserve of models further up the trim range, the Tiptronic transmission has always been well received by customers. Now that it’s available in models costing from just £10,650 (Fabia 1), its appeal is sure to be widen still further. Previously the starting price for a Skoda with Tiptronic was £11,650 (Fabia 2 1.6-litre Tiptronic). Warren Richards, Product Marketing Manager for Fabia, said: “Following interest from various sectors of the market, we have decided to open up the 1.6-litre 16-valve (105bhp) Tiptronic engines in Roomster 1, Fabia 1 and Fabia Estate 1 for general sale.”
