THE attack on Jacqueline Nangle by a woman with a bottle is absolutely sickening.
Ms Nangle, who is partially sighted, was attacked a row with Joanne Francis over the well-being of some dogs.
She was hit in the face with a milk bottle and is now scarred for life.
Ms Nangle now feels like a "freak" and feels everyone is looking at her.
Francis was jailed for a year and eight months after admitting wounding.
It’s a sentence that Ms Nangle says is too lenient.
We hope Francis spends her time in jail contemplating what she did.
It’s a small miracle Ms Nangle’s injuries weren’t more serious.
Violent outbursts and the use of any sort of weapon must never be tolerated in our society and we hope this case makes those who are prone to such outbursts think twice.
