FAMILY fun and a closer look at agricultural life were on offer at the Machen Agricultural Show on Saturday.
Despite the drizzle the 63rd Machen Show, held at Mill Farm, Machen, celebrated rural life and offered something for everyone.
Competitive events included a dog show, harness goat racing and show jumping for riders.
Starting at 8.30am, the show included display of vintage agricultural machinery and a gun dog display offered visitors an insight into our rural heritage.
For the animal lovers, there was also a chance to get up close and personal with a range of furry friends from horses and goats to rabbits and dogs.
Stalls, trade stands, crafts and refreshments were also on offer, as well as a fair to keep the whole family happy.
