Car hire sites
One of the best things about travelling abroad for a holiday is the chance to explore a totally new region.
escape... surfs some car hire websites to see what is available and whether savings can be made.
As with anything to do with travel it is often best to go to a price comparison site before anything else and it is worth shopping around to make some great savings. www.priceline.co.uk is one such site. It not only compares prices of flights and hotels but also car rental. It also offers a host of deals and the day we visited was offering car hire in Malaga for just £9 a day. Well worth a look.
Then, of course, there are all the major players such as Avis www.avis.com or www.avis.co.uk - depending on whether you are looking at north America or this country.
Also www.hertz.com, www.national car.com and www.drivebudget.com to name but a few.
www.holidayautos.co.uk offers no fewer than 4,000 locations and uses all major car hire companies to try to find you the best deal.
This is an easy-to-use site with plenty of choice. wwwpelicancarhire.co.uk specialises in European destinations and can sort airport parking or rail and coach links as well.
The site offers discounts for booking on certain days and travel vouchers as an incentive to book.
www.holidaycars.co.uk offers worldwide car hire and gives instant on-line quotes. This is a very good site for the United States, as is www.thrifty.com
