AT Abertillery Community Theatre India Dance Wales present Evoking Rasa.
As Wales' only professional company in this field, India Dance Wales has a great reputation.
All over Britain there has been a vastly growing interest in Indian dance.
Since India Dance Wales was formed in 1993, the pioneering spirit of the company has created innovative and challenging work based on classical Indian dance involving other art forms such as storytelling and visual art.
Educational work and the training of young dancers has also brought the company much acclaim.
The theme of this latest breath-taking production presented by India Dance Wales is inspired by the quotation from the ancient text Natyashastra.

Expressional gestures, rhythm, song and sound, will capture the imagination of the audience .
With Evoking Rasa, India Dance Wales continues their amazing series of performances touring around the UK, with choreography by the legendary Revathi Ramachandran from Chennai, India.
This performance also offers a rare opportunity to experience live classical Indian music as the company is joined by musicians as well as dancers from India.
