Last August, a brother and sister had a dream of bringing together the most competent, dedicated singers and performers in the area to deliver musical theatre shows of uncompromising quality and professionalism.
Not content with performances designed to please family and friends, they intended to showcase a vast array of performing talent in Newport and the surrounding area.
This was Andr-Paul and Susannah Spring's dream and, as a result, The Company was formed.
In February, The Company made their stage debut at the Dolman Theatre in Newport. The show, "The Magic Of Musicals", was a review of Musical Theatre spanning decades of West End and Broadway hits, old and new.
Word of mouth quickly caught on after their opening night, leading to sell-out performances for the remainder of their run.
Then last month, The Company wowed audiences again with a cabaret-style concert at the Riverside Suite at the Newport Centre.
"In The Company Of" was an intimate concert without the confines of the theatre where, once again, The Company had their chance to shine to a sell-out audience.
In their own words: "We strive to be different, unique, be renowned for high-class entertainment for every age and any venue."
The Company are currently preparing for their first full-scale musical, "Fame", which is appearing at The Congress Theatre in Cwmbran from September 6 to 10.
On Saturday, July 9, The Company will be appearing at the Beaufort Theatre where you will have the opportunity to witness something truly special on stage.
They will be bringing "In The Company Of" to the Ebbw Vale stage and you'll be able to enjoy some of the best singers that the region has to offer.
Tickets for "In The Company Of" are available from the Beaufort Theatre Box Office on 01495 350360 and are priced at £5.
Tickets for Fame are available from the Congress Theatre Box Office on 01633 868239.
