THE Riverfront has announced its new programme of summer activities on offer over the forthcoming months.

With a wide variety of music, dance and visual arts activities, The Riverfront is guaranteed to get your summer off to a sizzling start with activities taking place between July and August and offering something for all ages and abilities.

Opportunities to get involved include dance workshops, mosaic projects, Rock School, an animation project and the chance to cut your own demo.

These kick off with Independent Ballet Wales' Summer Dance which runs over two weeks (July 25-29 for beginners and August 1-5 for improvers) and offers the opportunity for all those aged 11+ to strut their stuff with choreography using everything from Street Dance to Indian Dance to Ballet.

This is followed by the Mosaic Project (August 1-5) open to all abilities to design and create a fantastic mosaic which will be displayed at The Riverfront when the project is over.

Budding filmmakers can create their own animated film using the most up-to-date technology in the Animation Project (August 8-12).

If there are any aspiring singers, songwriters, musicians, lyricists, MCs or DJs then Cutting the Demo (August 8-19) is on offer.

This two-week workshop for those aged 16+ will enable participants to develop their song writing, vocal, recording and performance skills.

Participants will work with producers, engineers and singer/songwriters in the state of the art recording studios at The Riverfront to produce their very own recording to take home at the end of the two weeks.

Finally the Rock Mania Rock School returns for a week (August 23-27) for those who wish to spend time brushing up their skills in the art of rock!

Participants will get expert tuition in singing, playing instruments and how to become a true rock star in a live performance.
