THERE is still time to get your entries in for the Prince's Trust Cymru 5km fun run, which is being held in the beautiful setting of the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport.
Supported by the Argus, the event is being held to raise money for the trust's work with disadvantaged young people.
But schools and registered youth groups can also help their own good causes by keeping 50 per cent of the money they raise.
Richard Newton, of the trust, recently walked around the course that will be used for the run.
"It is taking place in a stunning location - on the Roman Road golf course - with magnificent views of Caerleon, the Usk Valley and the reservoir."
Participants in the fun run will receive goody bags and giveaways and have the chance to win prizes for fancy dress.
Celebrity ambassadors of the organisation are expected to attend, including Jamie Baulch, who will be starting the event on July 5 and handing out the prizes, and there will also be food, drink and hospitality.
A children's race is to start at 6.45pm, and they will be followed by the adults at 7pm along the off-road route.
Sponsorship money will go towards the work of the trust in Wales. "Each year we support over 6,000 disadvantaged young people to help them reach their full potential," said a spokesman.
Entry for children under 14 costs £2 and adults, £5, or family entry (two adults and two children), £10.
