THE FAMILY of two brothers killed when a car overturned in a reen over the weekend said they have left a "void that can never be filled."
Scott Harding, 25, and his 27-year-old brother Warren were travelling in a car with friends to go on a fishing trip when it veered off the coast road between St Brides and Duffryn and ended up in a reen.
Andrew Brooks, 30, and Geraint Hill, 26, also died in the accident which happened sometime between 8.30pm on Saturday night and 7.15am the following morning.
All of the men were from Risca and the town is still in shock over the tragedy.
Scott, who married Aimee on August 19 at Goldtops, had a five-year-old daughter called Tyla.
Warren, who was engaged to Katie Holder, had a two-year-old son called Louis and a five-year-old called Jacques.
In a statement released through Gwent Police, the Harding family said: "Scott and Warren were a much-loved husband, husband-to-be and loving fathers to their children. They were adored by their parents and extended families, friends and work colleagues.
"Scott enjoyed going to the gym and Warren had recently started playing football with friends from work.
"As brothers, they were very close and they and their families spend a great deal of time together. Their loss will leave a void that can never be filled."
Both Scott and Warren were pupils of Ty Isaf Infants and Risca Primary School.
Doreen Morgan, who lived next door to Warren for seven years in Springfield Road, said: "He was a very nice lad, very sociable. "He was the kind of neighbour who would help out if you needed anything."
In yesterday's Argus Jodie Sefton, 22, the grieving partner of Andrew Brooks spoke of her sorrow as their children Taylor, aged 18 months, and Macy three months, will never know their father.
Police want more information about the incident and urge people to contact 01633 838111 or the collision investigation unit on 01633 643091.
