The tough Jumbuck has proved to be a real hit in the trail bike industry with Proton agreeing to supply TrailBike & Enduro Magazine (TBM) and Husky Sport, Husqvarna's UK suppliers of Motocross, Enduro and Dual Purpose bikes with the Jumbuck pick-up.
TBM will use the Jumbuck as primary transport for attending events and for general day-to-day use. Extreme Publishing is impressed with the pick-up's performance. Si Melber, Editor at Extreme Publishing commented: "Car-based pick-ups like the Proton Jumbuck are the smart way of combining a commercial vehicle with everyday transport. The Jumbuck is an ideal transporter vehicle for the bikes, no other pick-up offers this amount of load carrying ability at such a keen price."
The Jumbuck sits in a league of its own within the half-tonne pick-up sector and boasts expertise from Lotus giving the Jumbuck's handling a dimension rarely found in utility vehicles. The Jumbuck tackles unsurfaced roads with confidence and with a payload of up to 645kg and a load capacity of 800 litres guarantees safe delivery of the bikes.
Husky Sport will use the Jumbuck at bike races and for general support to the company. Mike Carter, Managing Director of Husky Sport said: "As the UK distributor for Husqvarna motorcycles we have taken delivery of two Proton Jumbuck pick-ups for use both with our enduro race team and with our retail business.
