FIFE Council has chosen the Volkswagen LT46 van to provide a versatile fleet of 58 vehicles for the Council's Parks and Amenities Department, which maintains the parks and open spaces throughout the county. The fleet of vehicles was supplied by the Edinburgh Volkswagen Van Centre.
Local authorities across the UK are accountable to the communities they serve, and aim to achieve continuous improvement in the efficiency, effectiveness and economy of their service delivery.
To ensure Fife Council chose the best van for the department, and achieved the optimum value for money, the local authority thoroughly researched their options, carrying out a full lifetime cost evaluation of the LT46 panel van. This covered lease/purchase costs; service; parts; fuel costs; warranty; and after sales service.
