The search is over for older travellers trying to find a travel insurance provider that still wants them when they are over 64, thanks to Go Travel Insurance. Go Travel has extended its annual multi trip policy to cover travellers up to the age of 75, when they buy through the call centre.

Previously, as with most insurers, the age limit was 64, causing problems for retirees who found it difficult to get travel insurance except through specialist providers.

Over 64s can already buy insurance through Go Travel Insurance for a single trip. However as more people choose to grow old disgracefully and live the high life, taking more than one holiday abroad each year, the annual multi trip policy is a very popular option.

The policy allows a traveller to take as many trips as they like in a year* and be covered under one policy, removing the hassle of buying for each trip. It also reduces the cost. A single trip policy, for a 14 day Worldwide trip, for a 74 year old, costs £68.35 with Go Travel Insurance.

If you are taking more than one trip, in a year, an annual multi trip policy can cost as little as £153.82 - recouping your investment in just three trips.

In comparison to other providers, this represents a saving of as much as £95.31.
