SPENCER the bear didn't 'paws' for thought when he got the chance to go on a really wild adventure.
The daredevil teddy snuck away from his young friend Jasmine Dunn during a shopping trip in Cwmbran to go exploring.
Just like Super Ted, Spencer summoned up his special bear super powers to travel around Gwent.
Cheeky Spencer armed himself with an A-Ted map of the area and headed off to Tredegar House (pictured) in Newport for a snoop around.
He enjoyed playing in the grounds of the historic house so much he decided to head underground and find out more about the Big Pit in Blaenavon.
Then, like Yogi Bear and Boo-Boo, he fancied a trip to the woods but this proved to be thirsty work so he took a break at Wentwood Forest for a tasty teddy picnic.
Freshly revived Spencer made his way to A-bear-gavenny to see for himself what fun there was to be had.
But, after all the excitement, Spencer felt it was time for a rest and headed back to Poundland in Cwmbran where he was reunited with a delighted Jasmine, three, of Abercarn.
Spencer normally has a quiet life playing with youngsters at Abercarn Nursery but the lust for adventure got the better of him.
Spencer said: "Normally one of my friends takes me home from the nursery for a week and writes about about my time with them in a diary.
"As it was half term week I thought it would be fun for Jasmine to have lots to write about. Although I had a bear-illiant time I missed Jasmine loads and was really glad to get back to her."
The Argus teamed up with Spencer to re-create his adventures on camera so all the readers could share the fun.
Jasmine's mum Joanne said: "Jasmine was over the moon when she saw Spencer again.
"She gave him a great big hug and hasn't put him down since.
"She was so upset when she lost him."
