COUNTRY legend Hank Wangford appears at the Riverfront next week. He teams up with Reg Meuross to perform in the Studio in their first tour as a duo.
Featuring toe-tappers and tearjerkers including He Forgot to Tell You He Was A Married Man and I've Forgotten What It Is That I Was Drinking To Forget, Hank and Reg have just completed the first half of a 50 date tour of village venues throughout to full houses.
The performance is folky and intimate consisting of one part original songs from Hank's new Best Foot Forward', one part original songs from Reg's new Short Stories and the third part a selection of duets taken from the rich vein of songs produced in America from the 1930s -1950s. Songs that deal with anything from religion, atomic power, class prejudice to the inevitable cheating drinking and divorce.
As you would expect from Hank the show contains plenty of humour, with his 'you don't have to make it up.....' look at life and his firm belief that it is possible to cry and dance at the same time.
They appear on Wednesday, June 1, at 8pm Prices: £10, Reductions £8, CLC £7.50 Box Office 01633 656757.
