THE BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales will be ending their concert season with the choral extravaganza, Verdi's Requiem.
This grand finale will take place on Wednesday, June 8, at St David's Hall, Cardiff, at 7.30pm.
Taking up the baton to perform this triumphant masterpiece is principal conductor Richard Hickox alongside four of the UK's most outstanding soloists including legendary Welsh Tenor Dennis O'Neil.
Alongside him are soprano Janice Watson, alto Catherine Wyn-Rogers, and bass Alastair Miles coming together to bring Verdi's powerful and passionate setting of the Requiem to life.
Verdi's Requiem, from the master of grand Italian opera, is a work which needs little introduction, with soaring melodies that are burned into the subconscious.
From its famous choruses to its sublime arias, it comes straight from Verdi's soul.
