IN partnership with Gowrings Mobility, the UK's leading manufacturer and supplier of wheelchair passenger vehicles, Renault is delighted to announce that it has sold its 2,000th wheelchair accessible Renault Kangoo conversion, the most achieved by any of its converters in the UK to date.
To celebrate this achievement, Renault UK's managing director, Philippe Talou-Derible, recently visited Gowrings Mobility head office to present the keys in person to the 2,000th customer, Mr Dennis Oakley and his carer, Mrs Pat Payne, from Hampshire.
Speaking at the event, Mr Talou-Derible said: "Renault has enjoyed a good relationship with Gowrings Mobility over the years, and we're pleased that so many people have been able to enjoy the freedom of motoring as a result of our work together. We continue to be very impressed with the standard of engineering workmanship, professionalism and customer service at Gowrings, and look forward to continued success in this unique market in the months and years ahead."
Linda Ling, managing director of Gowrings Mobility commented: "As the largest buyer of Kangoo in the UK, our close working relationship with Renault is going from strength to strength. Our specially adapted Kangoos are often first choice with both families and organisations such as the NHS, Ambulance Services, charities and Dial-a-Ride. It's a great looking car with plenty of room for a wheelchair user to travel safely and comfortably."
