NEWPORT Gwent Dragons forward Michael Owen feels that he has done his Test chances no harm at all after captaining the Lions to a disappointing 25-25 draw last night.

Owen also feels that he made the right decision to kick a late penalty to the corner even thought it didn't result in any points.

He said: "It was a fantastic honour to captain the side and I just thought that I'd go out there and play my normal game and gave it my best shot.

"I was pleased with how I played it was just a shame that we couldn't win the game.

"It wasn't to be though, but we rescued a draw and all credit must go to Argentina for their performance.

He added: "I was happy with my performance. I managed to get my hands on the ball and got some big tackles.

"I said to myself before the game all I could do is try my best and give it my all and I feel that I've done that.

"I had a lot of big decisions to make. The kick for goal at the end was determined by the referee as there was no more time to be played, but the one before it when we chose to kick for the corner was the right decision and we knew we still had time on the clock.

"I captained the side to the best of my ability. It was a shame we could not get a win but we got a draw."

Sir Clive Woodward added: "I thought Michael Owen captained the team superbly.

"He made the right decisions at the end. We didn't expect to draw, and we wanted to win but we came through the game with no injuries and that was our objective."
