BREAKFAST-TIME radio presenter Ali Crocker is among those getting on their bikes on Sunday to help find a cure for cancer.
Ali is to take part in Cancer Research UK's South Wales Bike Ride, starting from Tredegar House, in Newport, which is supported by the Argus and Red Dragon FM.
Anyone with a bike should get it out of the shed, have fun and help the charity bring in vital funds towards its life-saving research. Reg Braddick Cycles, of Cardiff, will be on hand to help oil any rusty bikes and make last-minute adjustments.
Ali kindly stepped into Breakfast Time producer Tom Reeves' place at the last minute, when, due to an injury, he had to stand down from the event. "It's a shame Tom couldn't participate, but he's been supporting me and I am really looking forward to a fantastic event with the people across South Wales," she said.
"We all know someone that has been touched by cancer, and this is our opportunity to do something to help."
The ride is suitable for almost everyone as it's a reasonably flat course. Entry on the day costs £20 and additional sponsorship is welcomed. Registration starts at 9.30am and the ride begins at 11am. Inquiries on 02920 224 386.
