Ryan Giggs will line-up for Manchester United in Saturday's FA Cup final against Arsenal ready to create his own little piece of history.
Victory for United on Saturday would be their 12th FA Cup final victory but it would also Giggsy's fifth winners medal.
He would of course overtake a certain record held by Mark Hughes, a man who Giggs used to play with at United and who he was managed by with Wales.
The Wales captain is a long-term admirer of Hughes and had wanted to follow 'Sparky' into management. But in an exclusive interview for the official Manchester United magazine, Giggs explains how seeing Hughes' suffer with stress over the past few months has put him off the idea of management.
He said: "I don't know how things will work out when I finish playing I'm just concentrating on playing. "Seeing his hair turn white has put me off a bit though!"
Giggs has recently signed a two-year extension to his current contract meaning he will be with United until 2008.
So the 31-year-old is likely to add even more silverware to a glittering career.
But the Welshman is determined that United can end a disappointing season on a positive note, in what will be the last FA Cup final at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
He said: Obviously it is great to be going back to Cardiff again, I always look forward to it.
"We have never won the FA Cup back-to-back so I am hoping we can do that and create another bit of history. We have a good record in the Cup and believe we can do it.
He added: "There's no getting away from it, we set out our stall to win the Premiership, then the Champions League.
"The FA Cup comes third but that's not to downgrade it as the cup has been a big part of Manchester United's history.
"It's a great day out in Cardiff for the fans and it would be great if they can celebrate a win."
