THE Ford Focus four-door saloon officially goes on sale in the UK on May 21 with prices starting from £14,970 and insurance ratings from just 7E. The latest model in the new Focus range is available in either Ghia or Titanium specifications. Customers are rewarded with premium build and material quality, leading driving dynamics, and accessible new technologies with a choice of 1.6 and 2.0-litre petrol or 1.6, 1.8 or 2.0-litre diesel engines.
Built exclusively for Europe in"The new Focus four-door demonstrates that Ford can create an elegant car with fresh thinking," said chief designer Claudio Messale. New levels of interior refinement and craftsmanship brought to the entire Focus range are ideally suited to the traditional compact sedan shape. In addition the saloon was engineered to provide generous stowage in the boot, with an emphasis on real-world practicality.
Equipped with a compact spare tyre, the Focus saloon offers a maximum cargo space of 526 litres. The boot space is wide. The tailgate opening is an ample 1020mm and the load width between the inner wheelhouses is 1048mm. The design imperative for the boot space was to incorporate a golf bag or two large suitcases.
