FROM finding the toilet to securing a locker and bagging the best seat - it could have been the first day of term at any school.
But those wandering through London corridors with a confused expression yesterday were not uniform-clad youngsters.
The nervous faces instead belonged to some of the nation's most influential characters, our newly-elected representatives, taking their first tentative steps inside the 'Mother' of all parliaments.
In the shadow of Big Ben and with the weight of history upon them, Jess Morden, David Davies and Peter Law followed in the footsteps of Gwent greats such as Nye Bevan, Neil Kinnock and Michael Foot.
And, with the Argus there to record the historic moment, the new kids on the block admitted the weight of duty was sinking in.
