Robbie Savage, pictured, has been left out of another Wales squad by manager John Toshack but still refuses to give up hope that he will play for his country again.
Toshack has chosen a 22-man party to travel to San Sebastian - where Toshack still has a home from when he managed Real Sociedad - for a training camp between May 17-23 aimed at blooding youngsters into the senior set-up.
After the uproar caused by Savage's criticism of Toshack when he was left out of the World Cup qualifiers with Austria in March, there was never likely to be a chance of the Blackburn player being recalled.
Toshack is looking at new faces for the future but Savage refuses to give up hope. He said: "I never say never in football. At the moment it looks very doubtful I'll be selected for Wales because the manager doesn't see me as part of his squad.
"But I still have ambitions left, to stay fit, win something with Blackburn and maybe play for Wales again."
Toshack has included six uncapped players from the under-21 squad to travel to Spain, including Oxford's impressive young striker Craig Davies, Yeovil's Arron Davies and Wolves' teenage goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey. Cardiff's Joe Ledley would also have been involved had he not picked up a knee injury.
Toshack is without Ryan Giggs because of the FA Cup final, and will be missing Carl Fletcher, Gareth Williams and Lewis Price due to the play-offs.
The Scottish-based trio of John Hartson, Craig Bellamy and David Partridge will still be involved in league matches, with Celtic chasing the Scottish Premiership title.
