A NEWPORT amateur golfer scooped a top prize when he hit a hole in one.
South Wales Argus sales manager Steve Davies drove the ball straight into the 18th hole - now he is set to be driving a BMW Z4.
The 52-year-old from Caerphilly said he was "shell-shocked" by his win at the Newport County Golf Day held at Parc Golf Club in Coedkernew on Friday.
He said: "I'm totally gobsmacked and shell-shocked."
The golf player of 20 years, who had a handicap of 13, has only ever scored a hole in one on two other occasions.
He said: "I take part in weekly competitions at my golf club in Radyr, Cardiff, but this is only the third time I've ever hit a hole-in-one.
"I wasn't expecting to do it - so there was no pressure, which probably helped."
Mr Davies only agreed to take part in the competition, which was sponsored by the Monmouthshire Building Society, at the last minute.
Now he is understandably glad that he did.
He said: "I got a call on Thursday to say that people had dropped out of the team and they needed replacements.
"I never dreamed that I would end up walking away with such a prize."
But, the Motors sales manager, says he is certainly glad to be trading his Ford Fiesta for the sporty BMW.
