THE organisers of a Gwent balloon festival want people with classic cars to bring them along to the event.

Caerphilly council, which organises the Big Balloon Festival in Blackwood, says that over the last two years, the vintage and classic car display alongside the hot air balloon launches have been developing.

And this year, the organisers are looking for more owners to show their vehicles at the event.

The event is open to all types of transport, not just vintage and classic cars, so if you have a vehicle or form of transport that you would like to exhibit at the event contact events officer Stacy Hardwick, on 01495 235872 as soon as possible requesting an application form.

The event is host to a variety of other activities and entertainment including a music stage, food and craft stalls, workshops, arena displays, kiting and the hot air balloon.

Anyone interested in visiting the festival and would like a leaflet outlining the activities taking place, or if you are interested in having a stall at the event, should contact Caerphilly council on the above number.
