PUPILS at a Cwmbran school collected 200 bags of rubbish - and a kitchen sink - during a clear up of woodland.
As part of Tidy Wales Week, 90 pupils from Croesyceiliog Comprehensive School spent the day cleaning up Jim Crows Wood, near the school.
Head of biology Brian Hughes was pleased with the clean-up and said: "It was an excellent day, the children worked really hard and we collected 200 bags full of crisp packets, cans, drink, broken umbrellas and even a kitchen sink!"
A spokesman from Keep Wales Tidy said: "The week was very successful and it went fantastically well.
"The kids were very well behaved and were not afraid to get their hands dirty."
