A FITNESS fanatic is preparing to face the challenge of a lifetime - running two marathons within a week.
Andrew Murphy, a 23-year-old recruitment consultant based at the Celtic Springs Business Park, will run the Paris Marathon on April 10 followed by the London Marathon a week later.
It's all to raise money for the NSPCC Cymru/Wales' Full Stop Appeal.
Andrew said: "It's only the London Marathon that I'm asking people to sponsor me for, as hopefully they'll recognise it'll be an achievement to complete two marathons within a week.
"Colleagues and friends think I'm completely mad but I'm pretty confident that I'm fit enough and have trained hard enough to see it through."
He is hoping to raise more than £1,500 for the appeal, which has been launched to support the NSPCC helpline and fund specialist support workers to work with children and families.
Andrew, who only last week completed a half marathon in Bath and has also run the London Marathon previously, said he was hoping to complete this year's two events in under four hours each.
He said: "It's a complete unknown for me to compete again so quickly after completing one marathon.
"But I'm looking forward to the challenge."
