WALKERS trekked from castle to castle in Gwent to raise money for St David's Foundation.
More than 90 people took part in the 18-mile hike from Chepstow Castle to Newport Castle including the mayors of both Chepstow and Newport.
The two met as they walked and the mayor of Newport, Councillor Paul Cockeram welcomed the mayor of Chepstow, Councillor Phil Hobson into Newport. They walked the final miles to the Riverfront in Newport together.
Kris Broome, fundraising manager for St David's Foundation, said they hoped to raise £3,000 from the day. He said: "It was a great success. The walkers all enjoyed themselves on the day but I think there will now be a few aching feet and legs and a few people with blisters but it was well worth it."
Everybody who started the walk managed to complete it and enjoyed a welcome at the Riverfront.
