A NEWPORT firm of solicitors is one of a trio across South Wales to link up with estate agent Peter Alan to offer an integrated house-buying service.
Loosemores of Bridge Street, Howells of Cardiff, and JCP of Swansea have partnered Peter Alan to promote pa Legals, a one-stop shop for property buyers and sellers.
Eventually, the service hopes to offer instant online access to customers to check how their conveyancing is coming along.
Lloyd Davies, managing partner of Loosemores, said: "It's novel to have three firms of solicitors working so closely together to ensure the success of such a product.
"A considerable amount of time has been spent by Peter Alan and the panel lawyers in fine-tuning our conveyancing protocols to ensure that we offer a highly effective service. Each panel lawyer is obliged to fulfil stringent service criteria which will ensure that the legal product provided is second to none."
Peter Alan managing director Chris McVeigh said: "pa Legals will offer customers who are buying and selling properties an effective conveyancing arrangement with transparency and quality at the heart of the service.
"The new service could save time and money by offering people everything they need under one roof.
"Our extensive geographical coverage and the expertise of our solicitor partners will be combined to offer what we believe is an unrivalled package for customers."
Mr McVeigh said pa Legals will also provide clients with the soon-to-be-obligatory home information packs. Sometimes called sellers' packs, they will be a mandatory part of housing transactions from 2007.
