CWMBRAN Town manager Brian Coyne was left drooling at some of the football played in Saturday's 3-3 draw against Newi Cefn Druids and he is calling for more of the same tonight at Haverfordwest in the Welsh Premier League (kick-off 7.30pm).
The Crows dropped their first points in six matches at the weekend but Coyne was more than pleased with what he saw.
"It was a crazy match," he said. "We started off like a house on fire and then got caught out with a ball over the top.
"It was like we had forgot all about defending. Then we picked ourselves up and played some tremendous stuff only to be caught again when they broke through and Gareth Wesson (goalkeeper) got sent off and a penalty was given.
"I thought then the roof was going to fall in but we kept going and some of the play, especially second half, was out of this world and of a much higher level than we play at.
"Even with ten men and with Terry Evans (right back) in goal, I still felt that we would go on and win it. That would have been incredible."
He added: "Myself and Sean Wharton (assistant manager) were just standing back and admiring their play, it was a delight to watch."
Coyne admits that his side will have to tighten up to get anything from tonight's tough test. "They have had a magnificent season and Derwyn Brace has done a terrific job," he said.
"But we go there with no pressure and if we play like we did on Saturday, just cutting out the defensive mistakes, then we can go with confidence.
"I won't change anything, just tell them to go out and play as they have been doing." Cwmbran will be without goalkeeper Wesson, who is suspended after the red card against Newi Cefn Druids and Andy Mainwaring is a doubt after taking an ankle knock. Robbie Hallem will come back in for Wesson and Jason Welsh is available after serving his one-match ban.
