ONE of the Welsh Grand Slam heroes came down to earth with a bump yesterday when he discovered his car had been broken into and valued possessions stolen.
Blaenavon's Mark Taylor discovered his kit bag and laptop computer were missing when he returned to his car at Cardiff Central station after the weekend celebrations.
"The police were very helpful and we eventually found my kit bag. It had my boots, socks, and shorts from the game against Ireland, but I hadn't left my jersey in there," said the former Pontypool RFC youth player who now turns out for the Llanelli Scarlets.
"But the biggest loss was my Toshiba laptop. I was given it before the 2003 World Cup and it has a lot of personal items on it."
Anyone with any information about the theft is asked to contact South Wales Police.
