YOUNGSTERS from Newport's Eveswell Primary School got a lesson in life from a road safety initiative.
Pupils took part in the Kerbcraft road safety training scheme last week, a programme which aims to teach children between five and seven how to cross roads safely.
The scheme was developed in Glasgow and has been rolled out across the UK - aiming to reduce the number of children who are killed or seriously injured in road accidents.
