DETECTIVES were today carrying out an investigation after the death of a man in the city last night.
The unnamed man, believed to be in his 30s, was found dead in the Pill area.
Today police tape cordoned off Harveys pub in Commercial Road, which is believed to be the scene of the incident.
Forensic officers were clearly visible inside the pub this morning and and two officers stood guard outside.
A local resident, who did not want to be named, said: "At about 10.30pm there was an argument at the pub, I left and went home.
"But I had a call this morning to say that someone had been stabbed." Another resident said: "I heard there were a couple of disputes." Police say inquiries are continuing and are appealing for witnesses to come forward and contact them on 01633 838 111.
