A SELF-EMPLOYED driving instructor carried out sex attacks on six women pupils, a court heard.
Alan McLoy, 56, "clearly abused his position to do with them what he felt like doing", alleged prosecutor Nicholas Gareth Jones.
McLoy, of Penallt Estate, Llanelli Hill, Abergavenny, has pleaded not guilty to 13 charges of indecent assault involving six alleged victims.
He also denies two charges of sexually assaulting one of them.
Mr Jones told Cardiff Crown Court McLoy had been a self-employed driving instructor for about five years.
Matters came to light, said Mr Jones, as a result of a complaint by a pupil made last year.
This pupil started lessons and at the beginning and end of each one he would kiss her on the lips, alleged Mr Jones.
She regarded this behaviour as "friendship" but she later became uncomfortable with what he was doing.
He said: "His behaviour became more overtly sexual."
It"s alleged that he told her: "You can trust me. I can trust you. This is our little secret."
Mr Jones said she became increasingly vulnerable and unable to challenge him.
It is alleged he told her: "If I want you, I could have you."
She then disclosed to her family what had been happening. The police were called and further complaints were made by other women.
One said he would kiss her and used suggestive language and asked her whether or not she was on the pill.
He is accused of telling one of the women: "You"ve got a lovely body."
The police studied the work diaries of McLoy and other women were interviewed.
When McLoy was interviewed about the allegations, he denied them all.
Another woman, said Mr Jones, found the defendant "a bit creepy" and after six lessons he started touching her thighs.
"Eventually she had had enough and immediately stopped having lessons.
"He knew very well she was not prepared to put up with his behaviour," claimed Mr Jones.
Proceeding.
