A TEENAGER raised more than £100 for Comic Relief by dressing up as a chicken for a sponsored walk from Abercarn to Cross Keys.
Geraint Price, 13, of Llanfach, was determined to raise cash for the charity and decided, despite painful eczema on his feet, to dress up for the walk.
Walking from the Market Tavern in Abercarn to the Philanthropic, Pontywaun, Cross Keys, he raised £118 by collecting from members of the public on the way.
His mother, Vanessa, said: "We are all very proud of him. He did very well. We would like to thank everyone who donated and cheered him along."
