CWMBRAN Town manager Brian Coyne has vowed to remove his players from the pitch if he witnesses any racist behaviour during a match.

Coyne is standing shoulder to should with his assistant Sean Wharton in the complaint to the FA of Wales about racist gestures allegedly made during the Welsh Premier League match at Bangor City and says he will not hesitate to walk off, regardless of the score.

He said: "The club are right behind Sean on this one.

"When the incident happened I was actually was involved in a bit of a heated discussion with the referee and this all happened behind me.

"If I had known at the time I would have taken the team off the park, even through we were two or three goals up.

"And I would have no hesitation on doing so if I ever heard it in the future."

The Crows are in action tomorrow at Newtown, chasing their fifth league victory on the trot, Coyne returning to his old stomping ground, manager there for 13 years.

And he revealed that it will be the first time he will be sitting in the away dugout.

He explained: "I was there twice last year but the first time in the league game I was banned from the dugout and in the second match, it was the cup semi-finals and we were classed as the home side.

"So it will be good to go there and actually sit in the away dugout.

"I have a lot of affection for the club, it would be hard not to after being there so long but it would be nice to come away with a victory."

He added: "We are playing with a lot of confidence which comes from winning games and hopefully we can keep the run going until the end of the season."

The Crows have a fully fit squad although defender Kristian James is suspended after picking up five bookings to take him through the disciplinary threshold.

He will be replaced by his brother Adam, who has been playing for Ryman's League outfit Eastleigh. "It will be one brother out and another in," Coyne joked.

"It is just for one match because he is heading out to live in America with Richard Hurlin (it will be his last match) as they both have been awarded football scholarships."
