ISUZU has slashed parts prices by more than 50% in a bid to boost the use of genuine components. Over 160 parts are covered in the 'Real Deal' campaign including timing belts, clutches, brake systems, exhausts, shock absorbers and all types of filters. The price cuts are permanent and cover all Trooper 4x4 models since 1987 and the TF 4x2 and 4x4 pickup - a vehicle parc in excess of 17,000 units.
Typical examples are a water pump for a Trooper 3.0DT reduced from £213.77 to £99 - a saving of 53.7% - and a TF pickup front exhaust pipe down from £205.37 to £99.95 - a 51.3% reduction.
Other savings include a fuel filter for a Trooper 2.8Dt at £9.25 instead of £13.52 and a Trooper 3.5 V6 exhaust tailpipe for £82.64 as opposed to the previous £110.18. All quoted prices exclude VAT and came into effect on March 1, 2005.
Isuzu is targeting private owners, its own dealer network and independent garages with its 'Real Deal' campaign. Mail-shots will be sent to 21,000 motor traders including bodyshops, service centres, MOT centres and fast-fit operations.
