IF you want a healthy, new-looking you do something about it!
As the experts constantly remind us, 'Healthy living is about more than just exercise, it is also about total well-being'.
It's a philosophy that Steve Allsop, manager of Marriot St Pierre hotels leisure club at Chepstow, adheres to.
Well, he would do that, you may say. But the truth is that keeping healthy is also becoming a national passion. After winter's over-indulgence, and with summer fast approaching, many solemnly swear to get fit. Impressive words, but can they keep it up?
Where better could they start and receive immediate help than at this top hotel leisure club?
It gives an unlimited, seven-day use of some of the most exclusive facilities in South Wales.
A magnificient swimming pool, personal trainers, exercise classes, luxury changing rooms, techno-gym equipment, steam and sauna rooms, and spa pool.
Mr Allsop believes strongly in trying to motivate those people who know they must exercise.
He said: "Everyone has a New Year's Resolution and we want them to stick to it, particularily those which apply to a healthy lifestyle.
"We want to help those people who know they must exercise.
"What we're saying is, join us, and let us guide you through those initial steps. For some reason people think that a workout is hot, sweaty and uncomfortable, whereas it need not be, particularily with our capable and friendly staff, who will help all they can."
With more than 2,000 members, the Leisure Club, with fees starting from around £41, is without doubt real value for money. Aside from that, there is a good club atmosphere, with restaurant and bar discounts and the sure knowledge that you are among friends.
Mr Allsop said: "We see people starting out on their exercise programmes and a few weeks later they tell us they feel much better, have lost weight, and are sleeping well."
"That's the best news we can get"
