A HEALTHY breakfast of cereal and fruit was on the menu at a Gwent school as they took part in Britain's Biggest Breakfast.
Deputy Heath Minister John Griffiths visited Ysgol Gymraeg Casnewydd in Hartridge, Newport, yesterday morning to enjoy breakfast with 40 pupils.
The scheme aims to promote healthy eating and the importance of breakfast, and hopes to raise around 400,000 for Cancer Research UK.
Physical education teacher Rhian Fidler said the breakfast was a success with pupils.
She said: "We all had a bit of fun and it highlighted the importance of a healthy breakfast. The day was in connection with Cancer Research UK, so pupils all over Britain will enjoy the healthy breakfast and help a good cause."
