EMBRYONIC businesses can now find shelter in Blaenavon after the opening of Victoria House on the Gilchrist Thomas industrial estate.
The 1.4 million development consists of 13,000 sq ft of high-spec, studio-style accommodation across 14 units.
The units range in size from 530 sq ft to 1,184 sq ft.
The two-storey building has been designed to reflect the industrial heritage of Blaenavon and it comes with hi-tech security and communal kitchen and toilet facilities on each floor.
Torfaen councillor and executive member for regeneration Neil Lewis said: "The council is working hard to attract entrepreneurs to the area. If we can provide suitable accommodation for them, as they grow and prosper, they will bring more jobs to boost the local economy.
"This new development will give them the support they need."
Accommodation in Victoria House is being offered at a competitive rate of 5.50 per sq ft.
