ENTREPRENEURS with a passion for art and design will be attracted to the next Millionaires Club event at the University of Wales, Newport.
Guest speaker is Angela Gidden, a top-flight furniture designer and former Welsh Woman of the Year.
The event will be held at the Caerleon campus at 5.30pm on Thursday.
Ms Gidden has designed for manufacturing, retail and contract markets. Her clients have included retail giants such as Heals, Next, Ikea, John Lewis Partnership and Habitat.
For the latter she designed a best-selling sofa range, the Pacino.
Ms Gidden is also a successful businesswoman, managing her own Cardiff-based design company Attic 2 which offers a range of contemporary furniture.
Events co-ordinator Sarah Davies said: "Those attending the event will be able to hear about how Angela became so successful, the challenges she faced along the way and the things that inspired her.
"I'm sure the event, which is part of the University's Enterprise Week, will be popular and those attending will leave feeling inspired and creative."
The Millionaires Club was set up to provide essential support for those at the early stages of developing their business ideas.
The club welcomes new members and registration is free.
