RHYS Williams has had to be a very patient man during this season's Six Nations tournament.

The Cardiff Blues wing played every game of last year's tournament but has been nothing more than a bit-part player since Mike Ruddock took over as Wales coach.

But Williams was outstanding during the second-half against France on Saturday, and now looks set for a lengthy run in the team following Gareth Thomas' broken thumb.

Williams said: " It has been frustrating especially watching us beat England, but I would love to be in the starting XV for Murrayfield.

"People will see Scotland as an easy game, but it is going to be tough.

"Scottish players know us all inside out, they play against us in the Celtic League."

Williams is still on a high after Saturday's victory in Paris in which he said character was one of the main reasons Wales came back into the game in the second-half.

He said: "France played their best rugby of the tournament, but the team came out, got two tries and our character shone through."

Williams was due to appear for the Northern Hemis-phere side to play their Southern counterparts in the Tsunami charity match at Twickenham on Saturday.

But Williams has been pulled out by Sir Clive Woodward, clearing him to play for the Blues this Saturday.
