WITH spring just around the corner it's time to look to a new Peugeot to banish the last of the winter blues. As the new 05 registration plate goes on sale on March 1 some of Peugeot's most popular models have never looked so attractive.
The best-selling 206 is now even more appealing with the recently introduced 1.1 Independence three-door model starting at just £6,495 on the road. With the S, SE, Zest, Sport, Quiksilver and GTi derivatives completing the range, there is a little 'lion' to suit every lifestyle and pocket.
The sporty looks associated with Peugeot's World Rally Championship world beating car are echoed across the Sport, Quiksilver, GTi and of course the GTi 180 derivative - which with its 2.0-litre 180bhp petrol engine has the performance to match. The Sport model starts from £8,995, Quiksilver from £10,995 and GTi from £15,215 on the road. For added value and peace of mind all 206 models (except 206 Independence) will be available with free insurance for buyers aged 21-80.
With thoughts turning to summer, Peugeot meets the British penchant for roof down motoring with the best-selling Peugeot 206CC and its sibling - the 307CC. The innovative and infinitely practical electric folding metal roof offers both convenience and security.
