PLANS are well under way for this year's Chelsea Flower Show and tickets have now gone on sale.
In response to growing demand for tickets, organiser the Royal Horticultural Society has, for the first time, added an extra day.
And the show will open from Monday to Saturday, May 24 to 28.
The society is also warning people to beware of paying inflated prices for tickets and recommends using either the Royal Horticultural Society's own website or Keith Prowse Ticketing
In a statement on the RHS website, the society says: "We are aware of some other websites selling tickets to Chelsea directly themselves and not through Keith Prowse Ticketing, often at hugely inflated prices. These sites are nothing to do with the RHS and we cannot be held accountable for their actions or when people buy tickets from them. We strongly recommend you buy directly from Keith Prowse Ticketing."
The show, in the grounds of the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, will host thousands of floral displays, demonstrations and, of course, the showcase gardens designed by some off the world's leading garden designers.
The Great Pavilion will host thousands of fabulous flowers, including new plants that have never been seen before.
Gwent gardeners are normally well represented at the show -- Penhow nurseries have been notable for their successes in recent years as has Norfields at Usk.
All tickets must be booked in advance and visitor numbers are limited on May 24 and 25 to allow RHS members access to the site. Ticket prices
