MODERN, functional and elegantly designed, Piaggio's new Fly is the latest offering for total city freedom and the perfect solution for skirting queues of traffic to ensure you get from A to B on time. Available in 50cc and 125cc displacements, both can be ridden with just a provisional (or full) UK driving licence plus a one-day Compulsory Basic Training course so taking to two wheels could not be easier.

Control Your Commute, a recent pilot study by Piaggio, highlights the benefits of travelling by scooter, with participants cutting commuting times by up to 50% and saving an average of £100 per month in comparison with public transport. Running the Fly is extremely economical at around £5 for a tank of petrol, and its light handling and ease of use makes an ideal introduction to scootering for you to discover these benefits first hand.

Using the very latest technology and Piaggio's renowned design experience, the Fly has been developed to the highest standards. Its engine is quiet, nippy, responsive and reliable. Both 50cc and 125cc models provide quick off-the-mark acceleration to make it the first away from the lights. The 50cc has a two-stroke Hi-PER2 engine with a two-way catalytic converter, while the 125cc displacement has a four-stroke LEADER engine. The Fly also meets future Euro2 limits on emissions standards.

The Fly is light, compact and agile meaning it is easy to manoeuvre, simple to park and offers excellent power-weight ratio to enhance performance. The large seat provides ample room for both rider and passenger, whilst the seat height, which is set at 785mm from the ground, will accommodate riders of all sizes. The front shield provides protection from the elements making all-weather riding comfortable, while a large reflector within the headlight achieves optimum rider visibility.

The Fly's rigid steel tube frame ensures safe, precise riding, whilst a powerful, reliable front disc brake contributes to total rider confidence. The Piaggio Fly has a telescopic hydraulic fork for easy handling and safety, even on rough roads. On the 125cc displacement, a single shock absorber at the rear has adjustable spring pre-load which can be adjusted to suit all riding styles. 12" wheels and large tubeless tyres further contribute to the overall feeling of stability and agility in traffic.

The new Piaggio Fly comes in a range of smart colours to suit all tastes - Classic Black, Dragon Red and Excalibur Silver. Accessories include a windscreen with hand covers to provide additional protection from the weather, and a 36 litre top box with a handle and quick removal mechanism. On the 125cc model this top box is fitted as standard.
