CWMBRAN Town boss Brian Coyne insists that he has to shoulder the blame for his side's leaky defence. The Crows have shipped in 12 goals in their last four games and Coyne says he will take the responsibility.
"I can't criticise the boys because if anything, it is my fault for wanting them to play football," Coyne explained.
"They are young lads and are encouraged to play football but they will learn that sometimes there is a time and a place to play from the back.
"It is sometimes the case that you have to put your foot through the ball and unfortunately the only way to learn that is by making the mistakes like we have been doing at the moment."
Cwmbran came back from 3-0 down to almost grab a draw, eventually going down 3-2, but Coyne was not too downhearted.
"It was the second week in a row that we have came out and given a side a battering in the second half and we played some tremendous football.
"But we cannot keep giving away goals at the back.
"It is great that the lads play positive football but we have to realise that we need to keep the back door shut. "We can't keep giving ourselves mountains to climb."
The Crows are in action tonight and will be hoping to put an end to a poor run of home form, with only one win in ten, when they entertain second bottom of the Welsh Premier Llanelli, but Coyne dismisses any talk of a home hoodoo.
"The results don't lie and they have been abysmal to be honest," he said. "But when you look at the performances, I don't think the results are a fair reflection.
"It seems that every time we make a mistake at the moment, we are getting punished.
"But that will turn round and we have got a great spirit in the squad and we have the players that can be a match for anybody.
"Llanelli are fighting for their lives and we will not be taking them for granted."
The Crows will be assessing the fitness of Jason Perry and Kristian Hanbury but have a full strength squad otherwise.
Squad: Wesson, Green, James, Perry, Welsh, Thomas, Cochlin, Fowler, Dimond, Hanbury, Mainwaring, Edwards, Hurlin, Fernquest, Heal, Mohamed, Plant.
